So on Saturday, it’s my good friend Kelly’s 30th birthday party.
In an effort to make it extra special for her, my equally craft crazy friend Leslie and I took a trip to Michael’s to get some supplies to spruce up the party venue. What started out as a somewhat simple list of supplies quickly exploded into a stack of stuff so overwhelming we ended up forgetting half of it in a random aisle prior to check out. Probably because we had enough scrapbooking paper to wrap an army. THEY WERE 6/$1, HOW COULD WE RESIST? The cashier was really excited to individually scan upwards of 40 pieces, the Michael’s employees were basically brawling over who got to ring us up.
Amongst our pile of paper gold was an olde timey pattern that was full of moustaches. As any normal human being would, Kelly adores moustaches and enjoys any opportunity that allows her to don one. Leslie had the bright idea to cut out the moustaches (which were all labeled by name!) and adhere them to popsicle sticks for a fun all-inclusive party treat.
So that’s what I spent several hours of last night doing. It might not be my most polished crafting project but a) I was distracted by the most heinous season of survivor EVER…laugh it up…I still watch survivor…and b) they will most likely end up decorating the floor by the end of the night so with that said, I’m pretty obsessed with them!
